veteran with sixth grade student

This year volunteers from the sixth grade interviewed our local veterans. Those students then spoke about "their" veteran in front of the whole school and community at RSCS' Veteran's Day Assembly back on November 9th. Unfortunately, one veteran who had been interviewed was not able to be in attendance at the Assembly. Joe Roberts, U.S. Air Force, made time this week to visit his interviewer, Aubriana Gage, and her classmates and to thank them for recognizing he and his fellow veterans. Mr. Roberts, a Richfield resident, still serves in the Reserves. He spent almost an hour talking to the sixth graders about his travel and experiences, graciously answering their every question. Aubriana was presented with a patch from one of Mr. Roberts' former units, as well as a recognition coin he had earned.  Thank you to Mr. Roberts for spending some time with our youth and thank you for your continued service.
